This new Procurement leader will play a strategic role in building a next-generation approach to Procurement as it transforms to become a trusted business partner and an enabler of key business strategy, along with customer of choice for suppliers. The Procurement User Experience Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the Procurement Technology systems and services are intuitive, enjoyable, and effective for its users. The User Experience Lead will be responsible for spearheading the design and development of technology solutions that support the tools, dashboards, and modeling, ensuring meaningful insights throughout the procurement organization and increasing high adoption of Procurement tools across the organization. This role involves driving the insight delivery processes, collaborating with stakeholders to tailor tools to specific use cases, and establishing partnerships with Procurement Analytics and BTS (IT) teams.

Responsibilities

Strategize and Develop
  • Lead the design and oversee the development of infrastructure and technology solutions that support tools, dashboards, and modeling to generate meaningful insights across the procurement organization.
  • Drive the automation of insight delivery processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in data extraction, processing, and visualization, working in close collaboration with the Innovation and Automation team.
  • Oversee collaboration with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements and understand diverse user needs for meaningful insights, ensuring tools are tailored to specific use cases and there is high adoption of the Procurement tools across the organization.

Deploy
  • Facilitate close partnership with Procurement Analytics and BTS teams to align technology solutions with overall procurement goals and organizational objectives.
  • Design user training and support programs, monitoring new version releases and updates to ensure users can effectively leverage technical tools and insights for informed decision-making.

Sustain and Improve
  • Lead processes to proactively enhance user experiences by understanding and addressing technology tool needs across the organization, ensuring accessibility and usability.
  • Establish mechanisms for monitoring the performance and effectiveness of tools, gathering feedback, and implementing continuous improvements to enhance overall functionality and user satisfaction.
  • Oversee continuous evolution of tools, dashboards, and modeling capabilities to stay ahead of technological advancements and meet the changing needs of procurement stakeholders.

Lead and Build
  • Lead and guide analyst teams under the procurement technology and systems umbrella, fostering a culture of innovative problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain the team's capabilities to effectively execute technology team strategy, ensuring team members possess the necessary skills and tools to excel in their roles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other tech field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in procurement, technology, or related business or operations function.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing senior internal business and functional leaders.
  • Proven expertise in technology systems and product development in a procurement function.
  • Experience developing capability roadmaps and driving execution towards organizational objectives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
