The RVP, Strategic Partnerships is responsible for generating new business opportunities to support revenue and profitable growth in the Cleveland, OH market. The BDO should be skilled in both financial and business exit planning. Ideal new clients typically are high net worth individuals, corporate executive and business owners. The RVP is responsible for the development and cultivation of relationships and centers of influence including, CPAs, Attorney's, Insurance Agents, Bankers, etc. The ideal candidate demonstrates a broad understanding of wealth management practices, financial planning, and exit planning. The successful candidate is an energetic business development and relationship builder with a flexible entrepreneurial mindset.

Job Functions
  • Drive market growth and achievement of revenue and profitability goals by effectively differentiating WE offering and value proposition
  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, lead generation and closed sales
  • Manage a healthy sales pipeline
  • Participate at a leadership level with key community organizations and seek opportunities to generate positive public awareness of the firm and offering
  • Leverage community relations and development centers of influence to generate leads and facilitate introductions
  • Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of solutions, products and services
  • Represent and communicate various investment strategies and solutions to prospective clients
  • Keep abreast of current trends and new business development opportunities
  • Profile and understand prospective client needs and match those requirements to Wealth Enhancements offerings
  • Ensure effective and complete communication to prospective clients
  • Engage and communicate prospective client needs to Wealth Enhancements wealth advisory and partner firms
  • Collaborate with appropriate business leaders to conduct joint sales calls, prepare proposals /presentations and consult on pricing
  • Establish strong relationships and collaborate with key personnel, such as advanced planning, financial advisors, tax team etc.
  • Work with the financial advisory team to ensure ongoing client service is delivered after the close and transition

Education/Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in business; finance, economics or related
  • CFP(R) and CEPA(R) designations preferred
  • 9 years of business development / sales experience in investment management and/or financial advisory industry with demonstrated ability to develop and manage client relationships
  • Exemplary and pristine compliance and regulatory record
  • Strong financial advisory and wealth management acumen and experience
  • A successful track record of converting referrals to clients
  • Experience working with sponsorships and trade groups to prospect, build a pipeline, and convert new wealth management and exit planning clients
  • Experience working with small business owners to address their personal financial and exit planning requirements
  • Proven sales approach in determining the needs of partners and prospects through consultative questions, offering solutions and asking for the right actions and next steps
  • Willingness to travel regularly in assigned market
  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, listening and analytical skills
  • Proven time management and organizational skills in high-volume, high-energy environments

  • Ability to travel independently as needed
