Description:
Installation and Configuration:
Setting up and configuring IBM MQ on various platforms (e.g., Linux, Windows, z/OS).
Queue Manager Management:
Creating, managing, and maintaining queue managers, queues, channels, and other related objects.
Messaging and Integration:
Optimizing message flows, resolving application integration issues, and ensuring the reliability of messaging services.
Security Implementation:
Implementing and maintaining security measures, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
Performance Tuning:
Tuning MQ performance, capacity planning, and disaster recovery testing.
Troubleshooting and Incident Management:
Analyzing logs, diagnosing issues, and resolving connectivity problems.
Documentation:
Creating and maintaining documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting.
Cloud and Kubernetes Support:
Supporting cloud-based MQ deployments and integrations, potentially including Kubernetes-based environments.
Collaboration:
Working with developers and other IT teams to ensure successful communication and integration.
IBM MQ Expertise:
Solid understanding of IBM MQ concepts, administration, and troubleshooting.
Messaging Knowledge:
Experience with messaging concepts, protocols, and technologies.
Operating System Knowledge:
Experience with Linux, Windows, or z/OS (depending on the role).
Scripting and Automation:
Ability to write scripts for automation and configuration management.
