The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

What You Will Do
- Support production with day-to-day guidance of engineering requirements and real time problem resolution within the manufacturing facility
- Review discrepant material and perform design engineering analysis to support use as is, rework or scrap decisions
- Complete Design Engineering analysis to support the technical substantiation for engineering changes
- Write and ensure completion of engineering changes through configuration management
- Support Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) and transition to consistent production
- Confer with other functional groups, customers, vendors and other stakeholders on existing and potential engineering projects or products
- Review designs, drawings, and working plans to improve products and manufacturing process. This includes Root Cause and Corrective Action for production support problems
- Perform engineering work and applied research with Test Equipment group to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met
- Analyze test results of design or rated specifications and test objectives
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
- Knowledge of Standard Drafting practices including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Experience with precision tolerancing and fits / clearances
- Experience with CAD software
- Manufacturing processes and strength of materials experience
- Dynamics analysis
- Teamcenter PLM software experience
- Matlab, Minitab, Excel Macros
- Computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- RCCA skills, Statistical Process Control, Lean Manufacturing
