What does Brice Builders LLC do?

Brice Builders, LLC specializes in performing Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (SRM) of Military and Medical Facilities, Vertical and Horizontal Construction for Telecom Facilities, Commercial and Institutional Facilities, and in support of Disaster Relief programs. We also perform assembly of modular or prefabricated commercial and institutional buildings.

What can you expect?

As the Quality Control Manager, you will work in San Francisco, CA and will be responsible for overall management of quality control program, design, monitoring, and assurance. You will provide overall management to project-based quality control personnel.

How will you do it?
  • Responsible for management and implementation of project Quality Control program and have the authority to act in all project quality control matters.
  • Direct inspections and audit programs, initiate corrective actions based on review of data or customer input.
  • Ensure that procedures and processes initiated and performed by project employees are done in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Coordinate and lead project site meetings for quality control.
  • Organize and maintain quality documentation for the project team and provide appropriately to the client.
  • Assist with managing daily quality control project reporting including timekeeping; environmental and permit compliance; daily QC reports.
  • Prepares correspondence as needed.
  • Work with Project Management team with updates to project schedule.
  • Maintains effective communication and coordination among all project participants.
  • Become fully acquainted with the requirements of each project contract you work on.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Functions:

This position may supervise Quality Control personnel.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of job costing and accounting procedures preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer-based construction and scheduling programs preferred.
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with employees, business partners, and clients via written and verbal communication methods.
  • Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts, both logical and interpersonal, and make decisions based on available information. Ability to use judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and effectively plan and organize duties to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings, including host preparation meetings.
  • Ability to travel to project sites for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret construction documents such as drawings, specifications, shop drawings, codes and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate project plans and drawings.
  • Adequate knowledge of database software, spreadsheet software, scheduling software, job costing software and word processing software. Microsoft packages preferred.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.


Who is Brice Builders looking for?

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
  • Five (5) years of construction experience required.
  • Five (5) years of quality control management experience.
  • Five (5) years of quality experience with government contracts or government awarded projects.
  • Current Construction Quality Management for Contractors course.
  • Valid state driver's license and must be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Brice Builders' Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass a drug, driving and background screening.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using the USACE RMS program preferred.
