Job Description
The AVP, Finance Lead is a key leadership role within the Risk Consulting team. This position is responsible for delivering effective and proactive decision support and financial insights. The ideal candidate will leverage a deep understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), expense and headcount management, and will drive various projects to enhance financial performance and strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will develop comprehensive business plans and forecasting expenditures; provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis; rationalize actual spending to align with business objectives, supply leadership and business units with critical information to facilitate informed decision-making for future growth and financial success; and drive transformative initiatives across the business to improve workforce efficiencies. Additionally, the successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of the tools and processes utilized within Chubb Risk Consulting, enabling them to effectively support the organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Compile and provide financial insights on monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date results, including but not limited to revenue, expenses, and headcount.
- Develop a comprehensive plan, forecast, and company allocations, articulating and supporting the methodologies used.
- Collaborate with the business to create presentation materials that effectively communicate financial data and insights.
- Partner with the business to establish and measure progress against operational and business goals.
- Work closely with ESIS counterparts to ensure a consistent approach and interpretation of the information presented.
- Demonstrate a willingness and strong aptitude to learn various financial systems.
- Generate ad hoc reports as needed to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Competencies
- FP&A: Proficient in decision support and analysis, planning and budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and data reporting.
- Business/Technical: Strong understanding of financial management and accounting controls, along with mastery of end-user applications such as Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access).
- Foundational: Solution-oriented mindset, ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment, proactive collaborator, big-picture strategic thinker, and adaptable to change.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective presentations and facilitate communication both downward and upward within the organization.
- Leadership: Capable of influencing outcomes and leading teams effectively.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required, with a strong preference for Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience, demonstrating a robust background in financial analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential.
