Associate Director, AI&D Engagement and Go-to-Market (GTM) Lead
What you will do
Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will create and own the go-to-market playbook and plan for the AI product organization. Increase AI fluency and readiness, measured via engagement metrics, feedback, and adoption rates by building robust, scalable education and training programs tailored to senior leadership and broader teams.
Responsibilities:
  • AI Literacy: Drive AI literacy initiatives across Amgen, with an initial focus on senior executives
  • Establish a culture of AI readiness and continuous learning across the organization
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product, technology, and product teams to align educational programs and GTM strategies with business goals
  • Change Enablement: Influence cultural transformation by designing communication and engagement strategies that drive organizational alignment on AI initiatives
  • GTM Strategy: Lead the development and execution of AI&Ds go-to-market (GTM) strategy playbook for products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands
  • Education & Engagement Program Design: Develop tailored AI literacy programs and training modules for senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Organize and execute high-impact events (e.g., AI Symposiums, Demo Days, Hackathons) to foster community engagement
  • GTM Playbook Development: Create a comprehensive, scalable GTM playbook that standardizes the approach for launching AI and Data products
  • Work closely with AI&D teams to iterate and refine GTM strategies based on market feedback and performance metrics.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and clear articulation of AI's value across the organization
  • Serve as the primary liaison for external vendors and subject matter experts in education and change management.
  • Talent & Workforce Planning: Identify and recruit top talent (internal and external) to build a lean but effective Community Engagement and Education team
  • Develop talent development initiatives to support upskilling and retention of team members.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on the effectiveness of education programs and GTM initiatives
  • Leverage data-driven insights to continuously optimize strategies and program

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 3 years of Information technology or Go to Market experience
Or
Masters degree and 7 years of Information technology or Go to Market experience
Or
Bachelors degree and 9 years of Information technology or Go to Market experience
Or
Associates degree and 12 years of Information technology or Go to Market experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 14 years of Information technology or Go to Market experience

In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 3 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Experience:8+ years of experience in community engagement, technology education, or GTM strategy roles.
  • Consistent track record of designing and implementing successful education or GTM strategies, preferably in a biopharma, technology, or AI-focused environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills with experience managing multi-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and influence executive-level partners.
  • Technical Competence: Solid understanding of AI technologies and trends, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle and go-to-market strategies.
  • Advanced Degree or Certifications: MBA, MSc, or equivalent advanced degree; certifications in AI, data science, or change management are a plus.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the biopharma or healthcare industry, with a deep understanding of its regulatory and market dynamics.
  • Event Management: Experience organizing large-scale educational events, symposiums, or hackathons.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Demonstrable ability to forge and maintain strategic partnerships with both internal collaborators and external industry leaders.

  • Project Management: Excellent planning, delivery and time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on schedule.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Robust analytical skills with the ability to use data and insights to drive continuous improvement in education and GTM initiatives.
  • Customer/Stakeholder Orientation: Solid focus on understanding and meeting the needs of internal stakeholders, ensuring that engagement and GTM efforts are relevant and impactful.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
