Amazon seeks a Financial Analyst to be a key member of our Lab Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative businesses at Amazon, supporting multiple Product Lines on financial reporting and planning process improvement/automation.

This role requires a self starter with strong financial modeling skills and the ability to dive into analyses and processes effectively. This role also has regular interaction with various business units across Amazon, so strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Key job responsibilities

- Leading automation efforts for critical processes

- Financial budgeting, planning, reporting, and variance analysis

- Managing program budgets

- Supporting product and portfolio scenario analysis with financial modeling and data-driven recommendations

- Identifying opportunities for cost savings

About the team

Our team is focused on providing financial controllership and insights for the development of new Amazon devices and on going support for those that are launched. We act more as business advisors and partners than spend approvers as our business partners rely on us to provide them with the needed financial data and insights to enable the most informed business decisions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting or related field

- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills

- 1+ years of finance experience

- 1+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $51,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $109,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
