Summary:
The Senior Director, Human Resources Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing the human resources (HR) operations across multiple countries or regions, ensuring consistency and compliance with global HR standards, and driving operational efficiencies. This role requires a strategic leader who can align HR processes with organizational goals, while ensuring the optimal management of HR functions on a global scale.
This role will be responsible for overseeing the operational work of HR, including HR technology initiatives and implementation, HR service delivery and process management, and talent analytics. This person will lead the HR team that tackles operational activities to positively affect the business. You will play a critical role in ensuring that the CHRO and HR teams are fully supported and can focus on the organization's strategic initiatives and most pressing business-related talent needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Operations Leadership:
- Lead and manage the global HR operations strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and systems to drive efficiency and consistency across all regions.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight on HR service delivery, improving employee experience, and operational effectiveness.
- Drive global HR transformation projects, integrating best practices and innovative solutions.
HR Process Optimization:
- Oversee the standardization and improvement of HR processes, ensuring they meet global organizational standards and regional compliance.
- Analyze and monitor HR metrics, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency.
- Drive the implementation of enterprise HR technology platforms and ensure seamless integration across various HR functions (payroll, recruitment, learning, etc.).
Human Capital Intelligence (Reporting & Analytics):
- Oversee the development of HR reports and dashboards to provide key insights on HR performance, employee trends, and operational efficiency.
- Use data and analytics to make informed decisions about HR operations, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on HR operations performance, issues, and initiatives.
HR Information Systems
- Leadership and strategic oversite for all HR applications and systems.
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of technology roadmap in support of our HR and business priorities and goals.
- Ensure optimal user experience and overall performance of HR technology.
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Ensure all newly acquired employees are loaded into our HR systems accurately and expeditiously.
- Build strategy for centralization of operational tasks within team to drive accuracy, and improved experience for internal and external teams joining HUB.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure HR operations are in full compliance with local, regional, and international labor laws and regulations.
- Work with legal and compliance teams to manage risk, ensuring policies reflect the latest regulatory changes and requirements.
- Ensure data security and confidentiality of employee information in all HR processes, particularly in compliance with data protection policies.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner with other senior HR leaders, including HR business partners, talent acquisition, and learning and development teams, to align operations with overall HR strategy.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and legal teams to ensure smooth and integrated operations, particularly around system implementations and HR policies.
- Serve as a point of contact for senior leadership regarding HR operational issues and strategic initiatives.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global HR operations team, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery and team performance.
- Drive employee engagement within the HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Provide coaching and guidance to HR operations managers and ensure alignment with company culture and values.
Employee Experience and Service Excellence:
- Ensure the efficient and timely delivery of HR services to employees, including benefits, payroll, and HR-related inquiries.
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving the employee experience across regions, ensuring consistent service delivery globally.
- Promote a culture of customer service excellence within the HR operations team.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with third-party HR vendors and service providers, ensuring effective contracts, service delivery, and performance management.
- Negotiate contracts and oversee the selection of external HR service providers for various functions (e.g., benefits, payroll, recruitment services).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or HR certification like SHRM-SCP, HRCI-SPHR is a plus).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Human Resources operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing HR operations (preferably North American HR Operations exp).
- Strong experience with HR technology, including HRIS systems, talent management platforms, and data analytics tools including implementations.
- Proven track record in process optimization, project management, and HR transformation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a global team and influence senior leadership.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions and improve HR operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
- Expertise in global Human Resources shared services models and HR outsourcing.
- Experience with change management and leading global HR system implementations.
- Strong financial acumen to manage budgets and cost-effectiveness in HR operations.
