Mission Critical QAQC/Commissioning Business Leader
The Mission Critical QAQC/Commissioning(Cx) Business Leader is responsible for leading the strategy and operations of the mission critical QAQC/Cx department. This role involves managing a team of skilled professionals in the delivery of high-quality QAQC/Cx services for mission-critical data center facilities. The individual will drive client engagement, develop new business opportunities, and ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals. This is a startup business-type role that involves developing the electrical QAQC/Cx services, developing relationships in the industry, and leading QAQC/Cx as a separate service line.

Mission Critical QAQC/Commissioning Business Leader
The Mission Critical QAQC/Commissioning(Cx) Business Leader is responsible for leading the strategy and operations of the mission critical QAQC/Cx department. The individual will drive client engagement, develop new business opportunities, and ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals. This is a startup business-type role that involves developing the electrical QAQC/Cx services, developing relationships in the industry, and leading QAQC/Cx as a separate service line.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy / Business Development / Client Engagement
- Work with the mission critical market leaders to develop a strategic plan for growing the mission critical QAQC/Cx business and execute on the strategy.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the mission-critical market, including Enterprise data centers, telecommunications, Co-Location and Hyperscale facilities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs and promote the company's QAQC/Cx capabilities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand recognition and establish thought leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QAQC/Cx processes and methodologies.
- Identify industry trends, advancements in technology, and emerging best practices to position the company as an industry leader.
- Collaborate with affiliate(s) leadership to align mission critical QAQC/Cx strategies with broader organizational goals.

Department Operations & Oversight
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial performance aligns with company objectives.
- Responsible for financial and risk outcomes for all QAQC/Cx related opportunities/projects.
- Collaborate with mission critical leadership to ensure QAQC/Cx services are integrated with other department and affiliate(s) offerings.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a QAQC/Cx team of field staff, engineers, technicians, and project managers.
- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree; in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering is preferred. Or comparable experience within the Mission Critical field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in QAQC/Cx or engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role within mission-critical environments.
- A history of successfully acquiring new opportunities, delivering projects or services, and a track record of managing a profitable group or department within the QAQC/Cx field is preferred.
Certifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred; or
- Certifications: Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) or ASHRAE Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP).
Skills and Abilities
- Strong technical knowledge of data center systems and operations, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Proven business acumen with an ability to review and analyze project and/or group financials, analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and drive revenue.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on mentorship and professional development.
- Proficiency in Cx software and project management tools.
Work Environment
- Regular travel to client sites and industry events, as required.
- Willingness to work extended hours to meet project deadlines, as required.
