VP, Mortgage Technology Integration

Cake Mortgage Corp is seeking a highly motivated AI Process Automation Specialist to join our team, focusing on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance our Non-Qualified Mortgage (Non-QM) loan processing. The successful candidate will collaborate with our disclosure, underwriting, and account manager teams to implement and optimize AI-driven solutions for document indexing and underwriting, streamlining processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, mortgage industry knowledge, and strong collaboration skills to drive automation initiatives that support our innovative approach to Non-QM lending.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with AI technology vendors to implement and refine AI-driven document indexing systems, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of mortgage-related documents within the Encompass platform.
• Collaborate with underwriting teams to develop, deploy, and maintain AI underwriting models tailored for Non-QM loans, enhancing decision-making speed and precision while adhering to regulatory standards.
• Work closely with disclosure teams to automate compliance-related processes, reducing manual effort and ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
• Engage with account managers to identify opportunities for process automation, improving client satisfaction and operational scalability.
• Analyze existing workflows to identify bottlenecks and design automation solutions to optimize loan origination, document management, and underwriting processes.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI systems, providing feedback to vendors and internal teams to ensure continuous improvement.
• Maintain documentation of automated processes and provide training or support to team members on new tools and procedures.
• Stay informed on industry trends, AI advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure our automation strategies remain cutting-edge and compliant.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in process automation, AI implementation, or mortgage technology, preferably within the mortgage or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with Non-QM mortgage products and associated regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
• Experience with mortgage loan origination systems, such as Encompass, and proficiency in integrating third-party AI tools.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, including document indexing, natural language processing (NLP), or machine learning models for underwriting.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including disclosure, underwriting, and account management.
• Proficiency in data analysis and process mapping to identify automation opportunities.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering scalable and efficient solutions.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C#) and familiarity with APIs or system integrations is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Encompass SDK or plugin development for custom automation solutions.
• Experience working with AI vendors or platforms such as Polly or similar mortgage technology tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Salary Description

$120,000.00 to $145,000.00
