- Competitive salary range of $75,000 - $92,305 depending on relevant verifiable education and experience.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This not an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties or functions associated with the job.
- Assists the Principal in the overall administration of the school.
- Serves as the Principal in the Principal's absence.
- Assists the Principal in the supervision and evaluation of certified and support staff assigned to the school.
- Assists the Principal in monitoring the instructional program.
- Coordinates the monitoring and supervision of students in hallways, playgrounds and loading and unloading of buses.
- Assists with the discipline of students.
- Consults with and assists the schools' staff and parents in developing student behavioral expectations.
- Acts as a resource for staff training around discipline issues. Assists teachers in classroom management and effective instructional practices.
- Works with referred students for the purpose of modifying inappropriate behavior and identifies alternative placement for disruptive students.
- Assists the principal on disciplinary issues related to suspension and expulsion.
- Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance.
- May assist in developing and monitoring school budget.
- Assists in monitoring consumables, textbooks, library and capital inventories.
- Cultivate and model a respectful working and learning environment.
- Represent the school within the community forums for the purpose of maintaining ongoing community support for educational goals and/or assisting with issues related to school environment.
- Keep abreast of changes and developments in the profession by attending professional meetings, reading professional journals and other publications, and discussing educational issues of mutual interest with other professionals in the field.
- Assist with making personnel recommendations regarding the employment and continued employment of all certified and classified staff within the building in accordance with board policy, and state and federal regulations.
- Participate in administrative meetings, negotiation meetings and other such meetings as required or appropriate.
- Maintain safe and secure environments for faculty, staff and students to participate in junior high athletic programs and for spectators and other public to attend events.
- Assume responsibility for the interpretation and implementation by coaches of all board policies, school rules and procedures, codes of conduct, applicable laws, safety expectations, and athletic handbook.
- Observe safety and security procedures: report potentially unsafe conditions.
- Promotes school safety. Supervise home athletic contests. Supervise away games as needed. Act as host to officials and visiting teams. Oversee employees and volunteers who work at the contest.
- Coordinates junior high coaching staff.
- Oversee and supervise the coaches in the cleaning, storage, and maintenance of all athletic equipment and uniforms.
- Develops and maintains schedules for all junior high athletics.
- Work with coaching staff and transportation supervisor to schedule transportation for all away contests.
- Secure game workers for athletic contests, chain crews, announcers, clock operators, score keepers, line judges, etc.
- Works cooperatively with facilities manager and administrators to maintain all fields and facilities.
- Serves as the liaison between district, the news media and patrons regarding athletic events.
- After work hours are routine and expected.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A valid Oregon administrative license or the ability to obtain one.
- A Master's Degree in educational administration or in education with emphasis in curriculum and instruction.
- Working knowledge of current theory, research, and effective practices in the areas of instruction, staff development, student assessment, program evaluation, and school improvement.
- Knowledge of district and school policies, procedures, and rules.
