Position Summary:
Reporting to the Group Chief Actuary, the Senior Actuary will drive Group Actuarial projects, and lead Group Actuarial analysis and reporting. The Senior Actuary will be an essential member of the actuarial function, with significant impact on the organization and high visibility amongst senior leaders. This position will be in the New York metropolitan area or Chicago, IL.

Compensation
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual cash bonus, and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and support special projects to enable the Group Actuarial strategy and vision.
- Lead Group Actuarial analysis and reporting, both regular and ad hoc.
- Develop and maintain solutions to support and streamline Group Actuarial needs.
- Partner with actuarial colleagues and key business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights informed by data and an analytical perspective.
- Collaborate across actuarial function and with other functions to enhance and leverage Group data.
- Develop framework and lead actuarial external benchmarking efforts.
- Work with Group and local Chief Actuaries to increase consistency across actuarial teams globally.

Requirements:
- 7-10 years of relevant and well-rounded actuarial experience
- ACAS required with FCAS preferred
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues in different departments and work directly with internal business partners is essential, as is a strong business focus
- Creative problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and business acumen required
- Strong data and analytical skills are essential
- Must have strong organizational skills, time management and attention to detail
- Experience using SQL, R, and Python beneficial
