Under the direction of the PHO Executive Director, analyzes, develops and reports on key payor and population health management data on behalf of the physician hospital organization (the "PHO"). Converts disparate data from payors into meaningful and actionable information to support decision making by the PHO, and recommends actions based on concurrent and retrospective analysis. Collaborates and supports all levels of PHO leadership and PHO medical group practice leadership through meaningful and accurate reports measuring payor performance, quality metrics, population health management and other clinically integrated data. Maintains various payor databases, as applicable. Acts as Senior PHO Analyst and manages other PHO Analysts.
Pay Range: $72,000 - $118,000 per year

Employment Type: Full Time

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Health Informatics or related field, minimum 5 years' experience in healthcare analytics - preferably within a clinically integrated network, proven experience working with payor data and population health metrics, familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare data standards.

Supports PHO Leadership with various data analysis and reports.
  • Provides support for PHO leadership together with PHO member group practices as follows:
  • Researches inquiries from PHO leadership regarding third payors.
  • Quality metrics, physician quality cost and efficiency metrics; Wellcentive; and other PHO projects.
  • Provides routine and ad hoc reporting and analysis for specific projects within the PHO.
  • Assists in analysis of new services or product offerings through the PHO.
  • Effectively creates, maintains and manages work plans for assigned projects.
  • Completes projects on a timely basis.
  • Actively seeks new opportunities to enhance the efficiency of information sharing, distribution and analysis Develops an operational knowledge of supported areas.
  • Participates on various teams to support PHO initiatives.


Practitioner of Teamwork and Collaboration in PHO Initiatives Teamwork and collaboration in projects.
  • Including, without limitation: Wellcentive (or current registry database); distribution of payor based physician incentives - physician scorecards; evaluation of information technology systems and other PHO projects.
  • Communicates issues and new ideas to PHO Executive Director and works collaboratively to achieve resolution and/or success as applicable.
  • Willing to openly share knowledge and skills with peers, colleagues and management.
  • Serves as a resource/mentor/leader to peers and colleagues.
  • Actively participates in team meetings and other collaborative efforts.

Leadership
  • Establishes reasonable and measurable productivity standards for staff and then routinely monitors and tracks staff productivity .
  • Routinely meets with PHO Analysts to provide feedback regarding quality or work and productivity levels.
  • Fosters and maintains a positive work environment for staff.
  • Maintains open door policy for staff to be primary contact for them with PHO Analyst questions.
  • Reads industry literature pertinent to role.
  • Attends training and maintains proficiency in specific relevant topics.
  • Collaborates with management in developing opportunities for self development.
  • Keeps apprised of changes in the payer environment impacting PHO and affiliated practices

  • Assist with development, implementation and management of Physician Hospital Organization analytic and reporting best practices, guided by the organization's mission, vision and business imperatives.
  • Provide direction to PHO leadership based on analytics performed by incumbent and staff.
  • Validates accurate and timely completion of leadership requests.
  • Communicates with leadership ideas for organizational improvement based on analytics performed by incumbent and staff .
