What is the opportunity?
The RBC Direct Investing Marketing team is seeking a strategic and visionary Director to lead its Brand and Product Marketing strategy. As Director, you will have significant accountability for leading the Brand evolution, driving differentiation in the market and the Product Marketing strategy driving greater awareness, relevancy, and growth for the business. This role requires a proven track record of brand creation, ownership and using insights to develop highly innovative and impactful product marketing strategies.

What will you do?
- Lead the development of the brand platform for RBC Direct Investing, including the value proposition and creative vision, translating into actionable strategies delivering against aggressive business goals
- Own the translation of brand strategy into impactful and actionable product marketing strategies / campaigns across owned, paid and earned marketing channels
- Be a subject matter expert on macro, category and consumer trends, which you will leverage to inform brand evolution, the product marketing strategy and insight driven approaches, sparking the development of innovative opportunities and testing
- Navigate complexity through working collaboratively with key stakeholders across management levels including internal and external partners from ideation, strategy development and execution to deliver superior outcomes
- Create high impact product marketing strategies to fuel consideration and client acquisition, taking a full funnel 'client first' approach, anchored in insights to deliver hyper relevant creative
- Achieve optimization across the entire funnel, delivering on business goals and maximizing ROI
- Develop and ensure disciplined KPI establishment, measurement and analyses to enable strategic conversations, fuel future marketing opportunities and feed into cross-selling opportunities and nurture campaigns
- Lead and inspire a high performing team fostering a culture with a growth mindset, passion for creativity / continuous / bold thinking, experimentation, solution orientation and intrinsic curiosity
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 10+ years of Brand and Product Marketing experience within financial services, a startup or with a highly innovative brand
- Demonstrated experience building and evolving a differentiated successful brand in a highly competitive and fast-paced space
- Experience leading successful national acquisition campaigns to support business targets. Demonstrated track record of client focus and strategic thinking ("why" in addition to "what")
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative, supportive way in cross-functional teams and across the organization while being a change-agent who can adapt and thrive with a rapidly evolving category, as well as an ambiguous, agile and changing environment
- Proven ability to influence, work across and inspire greatness in a high complex organization, including at all levels of management
- Strong leadership, exceptional storytelling, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for innovation and challenging status quo with an emphasis on stakeholder management and obtaining buy in from various teams and seniority levels through influence, partnering and collaboration
