We seek an experienced Proposal Manager with a strong background in the Aerospace, Defense, and Space sectors. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and proven leader who excels in navigating complex, deadline-driven environments. This role requires managing end-to-end proposal activities-ensuring technical precision, strategic alignment, and compelling storytelling that drives successful outcomes in both federal and commercial pursuits.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the entire proposal development lifecycle, including responses to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and white papers.
  • Establish and manage detailed proposal schedules, assigning responsibilities, tracking milestones, and ensuring on-time delivery of all volumes.
  • Collaborate with capture teams to refine win strategies, themes, and differentiators aligned with customer objectives and mission requirements.
  • Organize and lead color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold) and maintain compliance matrices to ensure clarity, responsiveness, and alignment with solicitation requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison across technical SMEs, pricing teams, contracts, and executive leadership, ensuring cohesive and high-quality submissions.
  • Ensure proposals comply with relevant industry standards, including DoD, NASA, and Intelligence Community guidelines, with working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and export compliance.
  • Write, edit, and manage proposal content across all volumes-ensuring tone, messaging, and brand voice consistency.
  • Utilize SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other proposal management tools to track documents and facilitate collaboration.
  • Contribute to proposal process enhancements, including template development and reusable content libraries.
  • Manage post-submission activities such as amendments, evaluation notices, clarification responses, and debrief preparation.
Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years of proposal management experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the Aerospace, Defense, or Space sectors
  • Proven track record managing proposals valued from $50 million to $1 billion+, including prime contractor and subcontractor roles.
  • Proficiency in industry-recognized methodologies such as Shipley and SMA
  • Deep understanding of the DoD procurement lifecycle, including customer evaluation frameworks and federal acquisition strategies
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and organizational skills with an emphasis on cross-functional leadership
  • Ability to lead and coordinate distributed proposal teams across time zones and disciplines
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Communications, or related field (Master's or APMP Certification a plus)
  • Active security clearance preferred or ability to obtain a Secret or higher-level clearance
