Repair and Overhaul Center (ROC) is seeking a Material Manager at our Fort Worth, TX facility .
What you'll be doing as a Material Manager
- Works with Union leadership, Employee Health and Safety, cross functional teams, and Bell employees to ensure proper procedures are in place to eliminate potential for job related injuries and making the shop safe.
- Works with Human Resources and elected Union Officials to resolve conflicts while maintaining morale and positive relationships.
- Develop and implement strategies that result in on-time delivery performance, while reducing cost, and improving quality.
- Effectively manage inventory, offload and the continued implementation of system improvements and advanced technologies.
- Responsible for leading material and customer audits for Work in Process (WIP), inventory and warehouse managed areas, Government-owned material, and related processes
- Work with Resource Analysts, Industrial Engineering, and Production Management to ensure schedule adherence.
- Identify and communicate risks and recommend mitigation measures to ROC leadership and/or customer facing teams.
- Orchestrate the integration of dispatching, shop floor control, warehousing /stores, and procurement functions to improve the delivery of parts and material, tools, and manufacturing instructions to the manufacturing build teams.
- Lead the team in setting and achieving team goals, conducting efficient team meetings, and effective problem solving.
- Drive team behaviors to eliminate functional silo culture and achieve ROC, Bell, and Customer objectives.
Skills You Bring To this Role
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership role
- 8+ years' experience in an operations environment.
- Strong working knowledge in SAP ECC.
- Must have the ability to contribute in a cross-functional collaborative environment.
- Must lead by example and motivate people - to create a challenging, empowering, and collaborative working environment.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Proficient with MS Office applications.
Preferred:
- Lean or Six Sigma certifications preferred
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or other related discipline is required.
