Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for an ambitious Systems Engineer to become a member of the Systems Engineering and Design Team.
As a Systems Engineer Staff, you will:
Develop System and subsystem requirement documents, verification activities and criteria to ensure the system and subsystem requirements are being verified through assessment of program analysis, test and demonstration activities.
Integrate technical product requirements with higher level and lower level systems to support Mk7 development
Responsible for ensuring the Reentry Body Assembly (RBA) IPT Systems Engineering milestones are coordinated and completed in accordance with schedule dates.
Coordinate activities and areas of responsibility with RBA IPT lead, RBA Certified Principle Engineer (CPE) to support product technical development and programmatic milestones.
Present at minor and major design reviews including reviews with Lockheed Management, Department of Defense and Department of Energy stakeholders.
Work with the core SEIT IPT to ensure consistency of data products to Space and FBM standards.
Ensuring coordination and appropriate flow down of subsystem systems engineering work including MBSE, Interfaces and requirement and verification activities.
Mentor and support other systems leads on the program.
YOU WILL TYPICALLY HAVE:
9+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree.
An active Secret security clearance
Ability to work onsite in Littleton, CO.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
Experience with tracking requirements using DOORS database tool.
Systems engineering background with experience working within organizations, disciplines and with customers.
Experience supporting a development program throughout the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements flow-down, requirements derivation, requirements generation, requirements decomposition, and verification planning.
Understanding of system architecture and CONOPS development.
Experience with one or more of the following:
a.) System trade studies and/or System modeling
b.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
c.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification
d.) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
e.) Design reviews
Must have active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired skills
Experience with FBM Programs or similar missile defense systems
Experience leading technical teams to deliver results and integrate across product centers.
Delivering presentations to senior leadership across multiple disciplines and organization
Ability to lead a team on major project assignments, with accountability for technical performance, budget and schedule.
Full understanding of the interdependencies of the systems engineering "V".
Ability to work with different engineering disciplines to derive and decompose requirements.
Experience with development and delivery of system documentation, such as requirements documents, test plans, and release description documents.
Experience working with MBSE modeling tools (e.g. Cameo)
Strong verbal and written communication skills to build effective relationships across organizations, disciplines and with customers.
Experience creating work products for SRR, SFR, PDR, or CDR milestones.
Experience working in technical teams across a virtual and multi-site environment.
Ability to implement engineering plans within a project.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
