Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

Maintains proficiencies for all technical duties involved with diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Center. Responsible for assisting the director in providing support to clinical staff and physicians to enable the operations of the Cardiovascular Center to run as smoothly as possible on a daily basis. Responsible for the quality of care provided consistent with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the organization. Provides leadership and management of the staff in the implementation of departmental processes. Participates in and materially influences the selection, development, discipline, and evaluation of staff. Responsible for the daily flow of procedures in the Cath/EP Lab, IOU, and Nuclear Cardiology departments.

What you will do in this role:

  • Responsible for daily operations in the Cath Lab, EP lab, IOU, and Nuclear Cardiology


  • Cooperates with other health team members in achieving common goal of quality health care and supporting all quality initiatives.


  • Conducts self as professional role model and serves as clinical consultant for staff.


  • Demonstrates effective leadership for staff in the clinical area


  • Responsible for daily staffing of the unit (as designated by the Director) to meet the patient care needs


  • Assists the Director in maintaining the department budget.


  • Participates in the data collection, preparation and presentation of employee performance evaluations in conjunction with the Director.


  • Maintains unit records.


  • Ensures that Kronos is maintained for the department in an accurate and timely manner.


  • Participates in the development and presentation of staff meetings.


  • Responsible for orientation, in-service training and continuing education of all persons in the department/service.


What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred


  • Minimum of five years of relevant clinical and/or material experience may be substituted for education above.


  • BLS and ACLS certified


  • Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, leadership, policies and procedures, customer service, math, analysis, and reading.


  • PC skills required with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required.


  • Knowledge of SMART system and Meditech is preferred.


  • State Registered Radiologic Technician, or Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech), or Registered Nurse
