Lead a high-performing team of architects and engineers delivering NYP's enterprise identity-security ecosystem. You will enrich and operationalize IAM workflows, leveraging vendor-delivered integrations and purpose-built customizations. Act as the principal vendor liaison while fostering a culture of efficiency, security, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Position Summary
Lead a high-performing team of architects and engineers delivering NYP's enterprise identity-security ecosystem. You will enrich and operationalize IAM workflows, leveraging vendor-delivered integrations and purpose-built customizations. Act as the principal vendor liaison while fostering a culture of efficiency, security, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of IAM engineers and analysts, providing direction, coaching, and performance management.
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Identity and Access Management services, aligning IAM initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Own the SailPoint IdentityIQ platform and related IAM tools, overseeing design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Ensure security and compliance by enforcing IAM policies that adhere to institutional standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IAM solutions with business processes and new projects.
- Manage vendor and partner relationships for IAM services, coordinating support and evaluating new technologies as needed.
- Monitor IAM service performance using KPIs to drive continuous improvement and ensure high availability.
- Drive innovation and automation in identity management, streamlining provisioning workflows and access review processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- At least 7 years of relevant IT experience, including a minimum of 3 years in IAM leadership roles managing technical teams.
- Strong hands-on expertise with the SailPoint IdentityIQ platform (or similar IAM governance solution).
- In-depth knowledge of IAM principles and technologies such as user provisioning, RBAC, SSO, MFA, and directory services.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience implementing IAM controls in a regulated environment (HIPAA, NIST, SOX, etc.).
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SailPoint Certified Identity Professional).
- Previous experience in a software development or IAM engineering role.
- Experience working in healthcare, academic, or other highly regulated industries.
