Senior Cultural Resources Specialist - Full Time
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, seeks a full-time Senior Cultural Resources Specialist for our Cultural Resources Group based in our Denver, Colorado office. The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team of archaeologists, biologists, and ecologists on a variety of project scales.
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assisting with managing complex projects, client relations, assisting in proposal writing, directing archaeological fieldwork and report preparation. Qualified applicants will possess strong leadership skills, technical skills, and communication skills.
The job will require frequent regional travel, as well as office-based work. Experience and permit ability in Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, and/or Wyoming required.
Potential field work includes, but is not limited to, pedestrian field inventory, evaluative testing, site mitigation, and monitoring.
Field work tasks can include leading field crews and working with subcontractors. Office work will include pre-field preparations, preparation of site forms, technical report writing, and other related tasks. Frequent coordination with agencies (Federal and State) and project stakeholders is also expected for this position.

Base Salary Range: $105,000 - $118,000.00 per year
The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.

Required Education/Experience
- A master's degree or commensurate experience in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related discipline
- 15 years' experience with a minimum of five years of experience as a project archaeologist/field director in the Great Basin, Intermountain West, and/or Southwest of the United States, supervising Cultural Resource Management field investigations
- Ability to be listed as a Field Director (at a minimum) on the regional BLM Cultural Resource Use Permits is required
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Candidates may expect to be subject to client or project specific formal background checks or drug test regimens
Desired Skills/Experience
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of equipment, technology, and paperwork used in the recording and documentation of archaeological sites and artifacts
- Demonstrated experience in archaeological analysis and report writing
- Ability to work long hours, in harsh environments, and in varying weather conditions
