Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Associate Vice President (AVP) of Deal Desk and Customer Service who will be a key leadership figure at Thales Cyber Security Products (CSP), overseeing critical functions including deal desk operations, RFP management, order processing, and the optimization of internal ordering and delivery systems.
This role requires a strategic and results-driven leader with the ability to manage international operations and drive efficiency across the organization. The AVP will partner closely with sales teams to enhance competitive positioning, foster revenue growth, and ensure the seamless execution of customer service operations.

Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Associate Vice President (AVP) of Deal Desk and Customer Service who will be a key leadership figure at Thales Cyber Security Products (CSP), overseeing critical functions including deal desk operations, RFP management, order processing, and the optimization of internal ordering and delivery systems.
This role requires a strategic and results-driven leader with the ability to manage international operations and drive efficiency across the organization. The AVP will partner closely with sales teams to enhance competitive positioning, foster revenue growth, and ensure the seamless execution of customer service operations.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Deal Desk
- Set policy and practices for the deal desk operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of sales transactions.
- Collaborate with sales teams to structure and negotiate deals that align with company revenue and profit objectives.
- Analyze and establish competitive pricing, terms, and conditions of sales agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Support sellers by providing strategic guidance to navigate a competitive market environment.
RFP Management
- Oversee the RFP (Request for Proposal) process to secure new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and draft compelling proposals.
- Maintain an assessment of RFPs outcomes for continual improvement.
- Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the RFP process through continuous improvement.
Order Processing
- Streamline the order processing workflow to ensure prompt and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Implement best practices and automation tools to reduce processing time and minimize errors.
- Monitor key performance indicators to assess operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with logistics and finance teams to resolve any issues related to order fulfillment.
Internal System Optimization
- Lead initiatives to optimize internal systems and processes for better performance and scalability.
- Identify and implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of existing systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of various internal systems.
International Responsibility
- Oversee the operations of approximately 90 people across various international locations.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures worldwide.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment across all regions.
- Drive global initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals.
Strategic Importance
- Develop strategies to support sellers in a competitive market environment and enhance their performance.
- Implement initiatives aimed at generating additional revenue and profit for the company.
- Enable faster revenue growth through process optimization and strategic planning.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role within the cybersecurity, technology, or related industries.
- Extensive knowledge of deal desk operations, RFP management, order processing, and system optimization.
- Proven experience in managing international teams and driving global operational initiatives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
