Job Description
The successful candidate will become the site Fire Alarm and Mass Communication subject matter expert within the Facilities Engineering Organization. The role will include the evaluation of the current system configuration and being responsible for creating a road map for development and execution of the next generation fire alarm system. Evaluation includes documenting sitewide current system capabilities and existing infrastructure information, researching current market options, working with internal stakeholders to disposition the appropriate solution set for specific needs, programming system of choice, creating a sustainable frontend user interface and database that is conductive to technology enhancements while transitioning from historical aging infrastructure systems. Special attention of detail needs to be placed on interconnectivity to an existing and next generation building management system to retain and/or minimize and loss of capabilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks as well
maintaining as-built record drawings
support construction activities fire alarm responsibilities;
Communicate with other engineering disciplines, internal customers and A&E's to ensure projects and systems are cost effective, within budget, meet the desired design criteria and schedule guidelines;
Review applicable building codes and develop a list of criteria to be reflected in the projects;
Prepare reports, drawings and specifications for relatively complex projects making appropriate recommendations and design development decisions on small or large projects;
Provide technical review of documents;
Provide comprehensive life cycle review for Fire Alarm and Mass Communication system capacity/demand analysis of utility systems and planning to support growth when required;
Provide analysis of critical systems affecting the Fire Alarm and Mass Communication system critical utility systems to understand risks and develop solutions based on assessment;
Provide technical support to the Facilities and Maintenance organization as a system expert.
Willing to working overtime to support emergency situations

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $95,000 - $167,440. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
