Job Description

The Supervisory Senior Electronic Technician III (SSETIII) is entrusted with the critical responsibility of exercising direct supervision over contractor and subcontractor personnel involved in the performance of duties related to installation, maintenance, and repair of the customer's security system/subsystems.
  • Conduct rigorous analysis of system operations and test results to ensure optimal system performance and determine maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to customer guidelines and directives in the execution of required services.
  • Compile and deliver comprehensive reports and briefings regarding security system operations, activities, and status.
  • Implement robust measures to identify and rectify system malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Project Manager regarding all system malfunctions and corrective actions taken.
  • Initiate and oversee authorized tests of the security system and its designated components and subsystems to verify proper operation or identify maintenance needs.
  • Provide critical insights to the Project Manager regarding system abnormalities and shortcomings that may significantly impact next-generation system designs or lead to improved methodologies and operational techniques.
  • Develop and implement a stringent preventative maintenance program for each security system under supervision.
  • Promptly report any identified system issues to the Project Manager.
  • Fulfill the dual role of supervisor and active member of the maintenance/installation team, ensuring hands-on leadership and technical expertise.


Qualifications

The following qualifications are essential for this critical role:

Education and Training:

Completion of one of the following is mandatory:
  • Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or
  • Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
  • Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program
  • Additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities is required

Experience:
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs is imperative
  • At least five (5) years of experience in supervising a staff of no fewer than five (5) personnel is required
  • A minimum of five (5) years of SQL database experience is crucial, with the ability to write and execute queries, perform data analysis, and manage database structures effectively

Technical Knowledge:
  • Comprehensive understanding of electronic equipment design, development, evaluation, testing, installation, and maintenance
  • In-depth knowledge of the capabilities, limitations, operations, design characteristics, and functional use of various types and models of electronic equipment and systems
  • Proficiency in techniques and theories characteristic of electronics, including basic electricity and electronic theory, algebra, and elementary physics

Required Skills:
  • Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Superior time management and organizational skills to consistently meet deadlines and quality objectives
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Certifications:
  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems are mandatory
  • Specific certifications required include, but are not limited to: Software House CCURE, Verint, MDI, AMAG Symmetry, Bosch, Bosch IDS, Hirsch (Identiv), and Intercom Systems AIphone

Additional Requirements:
  • Proven experience in the installation of the aforementioned systems
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and supervise preventative maintenance programs for security systems
  • Capacity to analyze system operations, interpret test results, and determine maintenance needs
