About the role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to support global upstream activities of our transseptal platform and on-going life cycle maintenance of products within the Access Solutions portfolio. The successful candidate will need to develop a global understanding of current and future transseptal crossing and access market dynamics as well as an understanding of the medical devices used before and after transseptal such as guiding sheaths and catheters.
The role will require gathering KOL feedback, understanding market size and competitive market landscape, business inputs, and clinical needs across various geographies. The Senior Product Manager will bring a commercial voice to product development teams and develop global product launch plans to support new product development. This person will then work closely with downstream commercial teams to advise, collaborate and support launch readiness plans in various geographies.
The Senior Product Manager will interact with physicians during limited market release, at Advisory Boards, Innovation Center visits, animal labs, and other KOL meetings to gather key feedback on development activities for new products and turn that feedback into action plans. They will work closely with a cross-functional team and will need to be able to manage multiple development projects in parallel, independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).

Your responsibilities will include:
- Bringing commercial voice and leadership to product development teams, speaking for the user needs and market opportunities.
- Tracking and understanding global competitive landscape and future pipeline, current competitive activities in different geographies and strategically responding to competitive initiatives through product iterations and/or marketing campaigns.
- Developing business case and business models for new product development.
- Developing, executing and maintaining business and launch plans with global partners to ensure accurate planning and portfolio management.
- Collaborating with local commercial teams and cross-functional team members to ensure product plans and strategy will deliver overall revenue and profit objectives and work cohesively with global product strategy.
- Utilizing customer segmentation and product positioning to formulate and execute effective messaging and marketing campaigns.
- Creating collaborative internal and external relationships with a focus on global teams within Access Solutions, various franchises and functions within BSC as well as a focus on KOLs and clinicians.
- Supporting development and execution of product training.
- Building quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all Quality Requirements.
- Other duties as required.
Required qualifications:
- Completion of undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Engineering, Science or Arts)
- 3+ years of product management, healthcare marketing, cardiac sales, commercialization and/or engineering experience
- Proven track record of Physician and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and partner with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to mobilize key stakeholders and engage leadership
- Willing and able to travel 20-30% of your time in role, including domestic and international travel
Preferred qualifications:
- Completion of MBA or Master of Engineering is desired
- Work experience in the medical device industry
