Experienced Registered Forester (Procurement) needed with a large manufacturing company located just south of Little Rock, Arkansas. Relocation assistance is available. This a direct hire, full-time, salaried position.
Salary range is $75,000 - $95,000 / year, depending on experience and education

You will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the company's wood fiber resources. Your responsibilities will include conducting forest checks, supplier relations management, inventory management, and ensuring sustainable harvesting practices. You will work closely with the forestry and sustainability team to ensure the efficient and sustainable supply of wood fiber to the manufacturing facility.

Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Forester in Arkansas or have the ability to transfer an active RF certification from your current state.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Forestry.
- Must have at least 3+ years of Procurement Forester/Fiber Procurement experience.
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS (or a similar software) and MS Excel.
- Experience with SFI standards, BMP's, and chain of custody certification.
- Must have a valid driver's license.

Job Duties:
- Maintain relationships and regular communication with suppliers in all aspects of wood/fiber procurement and delivery schedules.
- Maintain complete overview of the market and report findings on opportunities and risks.
- Negotiate fiber contracts at least cost to required quality and sustainability specifications for existing and future facilities.
- Manage daily delivery of all fiber types to ensure that the plants can maintain continuous operations.
- Maintain database of fiber suppliers to include information on price, volume, location of purchases, product type, supplier sustainability certificates, and additional information as needed.
- Generate and track purchase orders.
- Generate and track source requests.
- Conduct BMP checks (Best Management Practices).
- Conduct forest and mill sustainability checks.
- This position involves travel within the region (by vehicle) to visit supplier sites/forests, and the company provides a stipend or mileage reimbursement.
