Job Description

The Director, Enterprise Program Management, will work closely with senior leadership, stakeholders across various departments, and project teams to drive program success, ensure effective solution adoption, and achieve desired outcomes including defining and delivering value to the business. This role involves leading and coordinating multiple related projects, managing budgets and resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. The role includes understanding the strategy, opportunities, and issues of the ABS business. The role also has responsibility for managing the demand intake process as well as the capacity management process. In addition, the role has responsibility for portfolio management for all significant IT systems, technology, services, projects and programs.

What You Will Do:
  • Program Strategy & Planning: Develop comprehensive program plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, resources, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensure programs align with strategic objectives and include defined value to the business. Periodically, evaluate and prioritize IT projects based on strategic value, risk, resource availability, and financial impact. Facilitate decision-making processes to select and prioritize projects within the portfolio.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively engage and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including executives, business unit leaders, project managers, and external vendors. Build consensus and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues. Develop contingency plans and escalate critical issues as needed.
  • Resource and Capacity Management: Secure and allocate necessary resources (human, financial, and technical) to support program execution. Monitor resource utilization and address any resource constraints.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage program budgets, track expenditures, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Dependency Management: Identify and manage interdependencies between projects within the program and across other organizational initiatives.
  • Organizational Change Management: Lead and facilitate change management activities to ensure successful program adoption and realization of benefits.
  • IT and Business Strategy: Understand business strategies related to technology opportunities
  • Leadership: Lead a team of Business Relationship Managers as they act as the technology lead for business partners by providing guidance and advice to our businesses on technology-related matters.
  • Communications: Communicate business initiatives and plans back to IT and promote available IT services and solutions to our business and proactively identifying technology opportunities to drive business value.
  • Demand Management: Ensure that new demand is forecasted, captured, analyzed, solutioned and aligned with available capacity. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners. Facilitate regular meetings to discuss demand-related issues, updates, and progress.
  • Prioritization and Capacity: Assess and prioritize demand requests based on business impact, urgency, and resource availability. Work with IT teams to allocate resource capacity efficiently and ensure demand fulfillment.
  • Portfolio Management: Lead and facilitate the process to periodically evaluate significant IT assets including services, applications, technology, projects and programs against agreed standards and determine action steps to minimize operational or technical debt and ensure continued alignment with service and business objectives.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in program management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional programs.
  • Experience leading and facilitating change management initiatives.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
  • Business Relationship Management certification is highly desired.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
  • Excellent knowledge of program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align program objectives with overall business goals.
  • Communication & Presentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Planning & Organization: Exceptional organizational and planning skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong knowledge of IT service offering and capabilities.
  • Risk Management: Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate program risks.
  • Organizational Change Management: Experience leading and facilitating organizational change management initiatives.
  • Financial Management: Understanding of budgeting and financial management principles.
  • Process Management: Experience with ITIL 4 and process management responsibilities including demand, capacity and portfolio management processes.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to a Director or an Executive level position and may have direct relationships.
