Position Description
JOB DUTIES:
Write computer programs according to specifications using Microsoft .Net Framework, Microsoft .Net Core, C++ or C# programming languages, develop schemas, document formats, and compose instructions.
Modify, maintain, and debug communication systems, programs, and devices.
Test system programs. Prepare data used for testing. Prepare system related documentation.
Assist in compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data to be use by systems and analyze data relevant to communication systems. Review quality and quantity of input data and system usage.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in information technology related field which must include at least one course in each of the following: systems analysis and design, computer programming, structured programming techniques, telecommunications programming, high-level computer language, computer laboratory involving hands-on operation of computer hardware and peripheral equipment, numerical analysis, flowcharting, algebra or comparable mathematics and Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft .NET Core, C++, or C# programming languages.
Additional Requirements
Preferred knowledge and/or experience: Microsoft Office applications, database design theory, Windows Server 2016/19, SQL Server 2019/22, Windows 10/11, and basic computer networking.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of computer programming techniques, Sheriff's Office policies and procedures, government structure and process, and computer hardware application. Skill in computer programming and use of Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft .NET Core, C++, or C# programming languages. Knowledge in creation and updating databases, tables, and queries using Microsoft SQL Server. Ability to write instructions and specifications concerning proper use of system and communications devices. Gather collate and classify information according to established method. Interpret a variety of technical material. Cooperate with co-workers on group projects. Collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Unusual Working Conditions
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended or intermittent periods of time.
