Job Summary:
The Director, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) develops and executes the financial and operational strategy for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. This role involves evaluating deals, managing due diligence, negotiating transactions, and integrating acquired assets. The Director works closely with company leadership to identify and prioritize potential deals as well as coordinate integration resources to ensure successful integration and divestitures.

The Director, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) develops and executes the financial and operational strategy for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. This role involves evaluating deals, managing due diligence, negotiating transactions, and integrating acquired assets. The Director works closely with company leadership to identify and prioritize potential deals as well as coordinate integration resources to ensure successful integration and divestitures.

Who You Are:
- Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or other related field and minimum 10+ years of merger and acquisition experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience in successful M&A transactions from start to finish
- Excellent and proven analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to define, analyze, research, and communicate issues
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, and to prioritize tasks, in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated abilities as a critical and strategic thinker
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute M&A strategies aligned with the growth strategy of the company.
- Identify and assess potential acquisition targets.
- Lead the negotiation and structuring of M&A transactions, including valuation and terms.
- Manage the M&A process from identification to integration.
- Conduct detailed financial review and valuation analysis to validate and prioritize prospects.
- Lead due diligence efforts to assess the operational viability and business alignment of potential targets.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage due diligence processes including finance, HR, IT, Legal and other related functions.
- Negotiate non-binding letters of intent and term sheets.
- Participate in the negotiation of transaction agreements.
- Manage the closing process and ensure all necessary documentation and legal requirements are met.
- Develop and implement post-acquisition integration plans to maximize synergies and achieve strategic business objectives.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure a smooth and successful integration process.
- Monitor and report on integration activities.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors on M&A opportunities and risks.
