Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking experienced Senior Principal Maintenance Trainers to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. These positions are to be assigned initially at Edwards AFB, CA, with relocation to future CONUS locations upon completion of job training and site activations.

Salary Range: $103,200.00 - $154,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking experienced Senior Principal Maintenance Trainers to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. These positions are to be assigned initially at Edwards AFB, CA, with relocation to future CONUS locations upon completion of job training and site activations.
You will be responsible for:
- Establishing and directing maintenance training systems, conducting classroom, self-paced learning, and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground support equipment, tools, test equipment, and facilities, according to established procedures.
- Providing formal instructor training to other Maintenance Trainers.
- Analyzing current operating problems and future operating requirements to identifying training needs and develop training programs.
- Writing, editing, and sustaining training material for instruction.
- Providing guidance and supports all divisions in determining their training needs and developing and conducting their maintenance training programs.
- Establishing and directing the maintenance of program wide training and qualification record system.
- Maintaining currency in technical developments, technical training, audiovisual techniques, and should be proficient in teaching methodologies.
- Your ability to read and interpret technical manuals, utilize subject matter experts, team members, and established processes to create and sustain training materials under minimal supervision.
- Your strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required for the position.
- Your ability to lead small teams for training projects with minimal management oversight.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 14 years of relevant military / professional experience in training development, writing, or professional communications, OR an Associate's degree and at least 10 years of military / professional experience in training development, writing, or professional communications OR a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of military / professional experience in training development, writing, or professional communications, OR a Master's degree and at least 6 years of relevant military / professional experience in training development, writing, or professional communications.
- Must have experience as a formal military or civilian training instructor.
- Must have experience in military or civilian aircraft maintenance.
- Must have experience in training content delivery and instructor methodologies.
- Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include alternate/second shifts, extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
- Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time frame as determined by the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Formal Military Instructor Certification/Degree
- Degree in the field of Education
- Experience in courseware development
- Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Content Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, or other related software suites.
