Your Role

The Developer and Employee Experience team is responsible for creating the ability to service our employee communities by providing them modern tools that increase efficiency and our ability to impact healthcare overall. The Senior Director, Developer Experience will report to the Vice President of Developer and Employee Experience. In this role you will you will partner to create a path to transform how our application teams deliver outcomes and ensure that we are fully adopting cloud. Responsibilities

Your Work

In this role, you will:
  • Establish culture of empowerment and accountability across the organization by championing transformational change
  • Lead IT Financial management processes to drive the adoption and utilization of TBM and FinOps practices that provide transparency into IT costs, TCO, show back, consumption, and operational and financial performance
  • Drive software engineering expertise coupled with cloud architecture experience to drive innovation, optimize processes, and accelerate growth
  • Drive relationship management skills with an ability to establish partnerships with senior leadership in all IT domains
  • Provide leadership to support, grow, and empower teams responsible for creating and supporting our cloud strategy, automated path to production through our Internal Development Platform, while maintaining our focus on cost optimization through our FinOps practice
  • Be a champion for Innovation - understand and articulate trends that create business and financial value for the organization. Be aware of emerging technologies and their impact on the business; work with technology architecture to sponsor and evangelize new technologies across the enterprise
  • Lead collaboration with the Product, Engineering and IT Security teams to design and build world class capabilities. Influencing and then enabling the modernization of our application release and management, as we embrace DevSecOps and our product "mind-set"
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of cloud transformation initiatives, and develop goals aligned with customer needs, delivery speed, and cost and service objectives.
  • Maintain currency through an active life cycle process for all areas of responsibility


Qualifications

Your Knowledge and Experience
  • Requires a master's degree in computer science, information technology, management information system, or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 15 years of relevant experience
  • Requires at least 8 years of experience managing technical teams including at least 5 years of progressive experience of managing diverse technical teams, concurrently
  • Experience with leading development teams through transformation as we embrace modern DevSecOps practices with use of CI/CD
  • Experience operating complex multi-datacenter and multi-cluster environments, and strong understanding of multi-tenancy and security
  • Experience in automation/configuration management using Ansible or an equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge base & experience in Cloud automation, core infrastructure technologies, information security and cloud migration

  • Hybrid (Default): Work from a business unit-approved office at least two (2) times per month (for roles below Director-level) or once per week (for Director-level roles and above).Exceptions:


o Member-facing and approved out-of-state roles remain remote.

o Employees living more than 50 miles from their assigned offices are expected to work with their managers on a plan for periodic office visits.

  • On-Site: Work from a business unit-approved office an average of four (4) or more days a week.

Physical Requirements:

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
