We are looking for a collaborative and inquisitive Senior Manager, Engineering to be part of and contribute to our Software Engineering department.

As a Senior Manager, Engineering, you will be spearheading technological advancements and leading a team of highly skilled engineers. What you'll do

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers (frontend and backend), encouraging a collaborative and high-performance work environment proficiently
  • Coordinate project delivery to ensure flawless execution and deliver new capabilities to the business
  • Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to help your team succeed
  • Collaborate with partners and multi-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding and security standards
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and sound design solutions to your team
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical and operational documentation
  • Manage monthly development releases for business-critical digital applications
  • Maintain runbooks for support resources to ensure smooth operations


What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, with a background in the insurance industry would be an asset.
  • At least 10 years of outstanding software development experience
  • Extensive technical skills in any object-oriented language, relational and NoSQL databases
  • Preferably experience with Java (Spring Boot), Angular, Oracle, and MongoDB
  • Solid experience with Agile methodology
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Proven leadership and team/project management experience
