What you'll do
- Lead and mentor a team of developers (frontend and backend), encouraging a collaborative and high-performance work environment proficiently
- Coordinate project delivery to ensure flawless execution and deliver new capabilities to the business
- Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to help your team succeed
- Collaborate with partners and multi-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding and security standards
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and sound design solutions to your team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical and operational documentation
- Manage monthly development releases for business-critical digital applications
- Maintain runbooks for support resources to ensure smooth operations
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, with a background in the insurance industry would be an asset.
- At least 10 years of outstanding software development experience
- Extensive technical skills in any object-oriented language, relational and NoSQL databases
- Preferably experience with Java (Spring Boot), Angular, Oracle, and MongoDB
- Solid experience with Agile methodology
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Proven leadership and team/project management experience
