Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Director, New Business Development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of accountability, consistently delivering work on or ahead of deadlines and maintaining a relentless focus on moving the team forward. They will demonstrate a robust business acumen, capable of converting opportunities into wins, and will be action-oriented, leading efforts to drive change and innovation.

The candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity, able to effectively cope with and adapt to change, and willing to explore new and untested approaches. Collaboration is crucial, and the candidate must work seamlessly across teams, prioritize team objectives over personal goals, and build trust through openness and honesty.

In this role our Central Growth Director will be responsible and expected to be the master the work.

Our Director should focus their time and attention across team opportunities, managing the team/career goals, elevating the work to the highest level of delivery achievable. This person will think holistically about the bigger picture vs. the weeds and is a positive role model to the team. The Director is expected to navigate and problem-solve conflicts, manage communication with executive leadership team and have a strong personal brand that aligns and enhances agency culture. In addition to this, the Director will step in to lead pitches across the BD teams and own relationships with each BD team.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in delivering results and moving initiatives forward. 10 years' experience requested, and previous agency and business development experience preferred
  • Strong business sense and the ability to seize and create opportunities
  • Effective communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Passionate about personal and professional development
  • Ability to become a financial driver for the agency (create revenue for the group)
  • Is a strong alignment to Publicis Culture and Values, and contributes beyond expectations to further grow and develop it


Role-Specific Duties

  • Leads pitches
  • Manages day-to-day relationships across PM BD Teams
  • Has a strong grasp of the media landscape and/or has come from a media/client team prior to being in this role
  • Responsible for the career advancement and management of the Growth teams
  • Day-to-day team management
  • Seeks out opportunities for the team
  • Proposes alternative solutions, exhibit intellectual curiosity to solve challenges
  • Overseeing tasks are accomplished on time and does so exceeding expectations
  • Responsible for junior team Career Conversations and Wrap-Ups. Escalates and informs performance to senior leadership
  • Is Executive Leadership-facing

Compensation Range: $119,510 - $180,025 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
