We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Specialist with a strong background in Space and Defense industries. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate effectively with engineering teams, negotiate with suppliers, and drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring the highest quality and compliance standards.

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Specialist with a strong background in Space and Defense industries. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate effectively with engineering teams, negotiate with suppliers, and drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring the highest quality and compliance standards.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for Aerospace, Space and Defense programs, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on multiple programs to understand technical requirements and source optimal materials and components.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms, cost efficiencies, and risk mitigation.
- Analyze cost structures and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and performance.
- Ensure compliance with ITAR, FAR, DFARS, and other relevant government regulations.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain market intelligence to stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements.
- Work cross-functionally with finance, quality, and program management teams to optimize procurement processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years of procurement experience in the Aerospace, Space, or Defense industry.
- Strong understanding of government regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams on technical procurement needs.
- Proven track record of cost-saving initiatives and supplier negotiations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
