Technical Writer - Operational Continuity (Google Cloud)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to support Operational Continuity efforts within our Google Cloud team. This role will focus on creating and maintaining clear, comprehensive, and up-to-date documentation across both internal and external platforms. The goal is to ensure stakeholders are consistently informed with the latest data, updates, and procedures related to operational continuity. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to transform complex technical information into easily digestible content, playing a critical role in supporting smooth operations and communication across teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regularly update internal knowledge bases and external platforms to reflect the latest operational procedures and information.
  • Collaborate with engineers , operations teams , and subject matter experts to gather accurate data and ensure the documentation is relevant and up-to-date.
  • Create content such as procedural manuals , status reports , playbooks , and training materials etc for stakeholders.
  • Track changes in operational procedures and ensure documentation is continuously updated to reflect those changes.
  • Proofread and edit documentation to ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy across all materials.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders to improve documentation based on their evolving needs.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts related to Google Cloud Operational Continuity into clear and concise content.
  • Proficiency in using documentation platforms such as Confluence, Google Docs, and internal knowledge bases.
  • Excellent written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • bility to manage multiple documentation projects and update them in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud services related to disaster recovery, such as Cloud Storage and Cloud SQL, is a plus.
  • bility to tailor technical information to different audiences, including engineers, managers, and end-users.
  • bility to write in a clear, concise, and consistent style, adhering to established style guides.

Additional Skills (Preferred):
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
