Position Overview

The VP of Global Supply Chain will develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance our supply chain efficiency, from product development to delivery. This leader will ensure the secure, efficient, and cost-effective flow of goods from sourcing to the hands of our customers. Working with a highly collaborative team, this role drives continuous improvement and scalability to support Duluth's expansion across retail, direct, and international channels. This role requires a deep understanding of omnichannel retail, direct-to-factory sourcing, and global supply chain management.

What You'll Do:
  • Supply Chain Strategy and Leadership: Develop and execute strategic initiatives to optimize the company's end-to-end supply chain operations. Provide leadership and direction to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives and growth plans.
  • Supply Chain Operations Management: Oversee and optimize all aspects of supply chain operations, including planning, procurement, reverse logistics, warehouse operations and distribution. Manage efficient operation of all distribution centers. Optimize warehouse network design, layouts, technology, and labor for maximum efficiency. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Transportation & Logistics: Collaborate closely with the product development team to streamline the direct-to-factory/in-bound logistics process. Oversee all domestic and international logistics activities, including freight selection, carrier relationships, route optimization, customs compliance, and the flawless execution of imports and exports.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to supply chain operations. Proactively Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain network, including supplier performance, product quality, and ethical concerns. Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize disruptions, to ensure continuity of supply and protect the company's reputation.
  • Technology and Systems Implementation: Champion the selection, implementation, and continuous improvement of supply chain technology platforms. Leverage technology to streamline processes, improve data visibility, and enable data-driven decision-making. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing supply chain team. Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Ensure clear communication and collaboration within the supply chain team and with cross-functional departments.
  • Leads proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Adopts the organization's values in personal work behaviors, decision-making, contributions, and interpersonal interactions.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, ideally in a retail or e-commerce environment with an omnichannel focus.
  • Professional certifications include Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD), and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Proven experience in managing international supply chains, including import/export expertise.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic supply chain planning, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and with external stakeholders
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong project management skills.
  • Advanced degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with global e-commerce and direct-to-consumer logistics.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex transportation networks.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics and data visualization tools.
  • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications.

Position Compensation Outline

This position is eligible to participate in the company bonus and long term incentive programs upon hire. The total compensation package will be discussed during the interview process.
