Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineering Manager with a strong background in C5ISR systems, software development, and technical leadership. The ideal candidate will possess over a decade of hands-on and managerial experience in the research, design, and lifecycle support of computer/network software, and specialized utility programs. This individual will lead agile teams to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that support critical communications and defense operations. A strong foundation in programming concepts, software development methodologies, and acquisition processes is essential.
Key responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle of C5ISR systems, from concept through sustainment.
• Manage agile software development teams, ensuring delivery of high-quality code and solutions that meet program and mission requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather system requirements, define technical roadmaps, and prioritize product backlogs.
• Direct the research, architecture, and design of robust software for defense communications and IT systems.
• Oversee integration and deployment of software across various network and computing environments.
• Ensure compliance with government acquisition processes and documentation for system lifecycle support.
• Guide the implementation of modern programming techniques, DevSecOps practices, and security-focused software engineering.
• Develop and mentor technical staff while promoting a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years (with Master's) or 14+ years (with Bachelor's) of professional experience in software design, development, and systems engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in C5ISR systems, IT infrastructure, and secure communications.
• Strong background in programming concepts and modern software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, CI/CD).
• Proven management and leadership experience in multi-disciplinary technical teams.
• Expertise in acquisition processes and lifecycle management for software-intensive systems.
• 10+ years (with Master's) or 14+ years (with Bachelor's) of professional experience in software design, development, and systems engineering.
