Position Overview:
Manage materials, consumables and equipment supply, shipping and receiving system and logistics, and vendor selections and contracts, to ensure consistent and uninterrupted biopharma production in our current facility and future GMP facility. This is a full-time on-site position
in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Key responsibilities:
Procurement and Supply - Liaise with cross-functional teams to identify demands, obtain and compare supplier quotes, and place and track orders and shipments for materials, consumables and equipment, including handling of bovine blood and biologics to meet production schedule.
Inventory Control - Anticipate and forecast needs, establish order cycles, monitor supplies and expirations, manage warehouse, reconcile budgets, and align with critical path to ensure supply continuity of materials, chemicals, consumables and equipment.
Shipping and Logistics - Manage outgoing/incoming shipments with vendors and partners domestically and overseas, engage appropriate shipping methods and providers from equipment to cold shipping of biologics, track and ensure order fulfillment, store and organize warehouse.
Vendor management - Source, evaluate, negotiate, select and monitor vendors; manage vendor contracts, payments, performance, relationships and risks.
Reporting and record keeping - develop and maintain all supply, logistic, inventory, COA and vendor internal and compliance records.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field
Drug or food industry experience, 2-5 years in supply chain, procurement, or logistics; scale up and GMP experience with an understanding of FDA compliance strongly preferred
Track record in supply chain best practices, including anticipating and planning demands, coordinating and influencing vendors, and executing and delivering quality projects on time and on budget
Business acumen, including contract review and evaluation, vendor sourcing and negotiations, time and task management, and external and internal party coordination
Problem Solving Skills (spot problem, find root cause, and solve issue), communication skills (timely, contextual, and succinct), interpersonal skills (seek buy-in and collaboration), and attention to details
Proficiency in supply chain management software and interfacing with Accounts Payable
Physically capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
