Employee Services is looking for a passionate IT Manager to lead and achieve highly scalable, available, resilient, SAP and cloud-based systems supporting rich benefits and a positive employee experience for our premier global talent. This IT Manager position is responsible for delivering the right solutions on time, within the allocated budget while ensuring that they adhere to technical and operating standards.

  • Lead and implement flexible and scalable SAP solutions (focus on Time and Payroll) with clean, efficient, and well-documented configurations and code.
  • Meet or exceed Time and Payroll ongoing SLAs.
  • Lead the team through modernization, integration, and/or migration of SAP platform components.
  • Proactively manage expected timelines and surrounding dependencies.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of related compliance and regulatory updates.
  • Apply systems thinking to anticipate and identify underlying problems and opportunities.
  • Inspire and motivate team members to continuously raise the bar.
  • Partner effectively with business teams and stakeholders to achieve business value and evolve the technical foundation.
  • Drive forward momentum towards technical modernization and optimization.
  • Increase our reusable automation footprint for testing, build, deploy and support actions.
  • Provide both functional and technical expertise regarding the SAP HR landscape.
  • Facilitate and lead changes in "how we work" as system components are modernized and/or migrated to cloud.
  • Engage in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives, with an aim to continuously evolve.
  • Drive continuous improvements in speed to market and velocity.
  • Owns the production operation and monitoring of the system and is aware of its service level agreements.
  • Coordinate activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • 8+ years of hands-on professional experience in information technology, preferrable managing development teams.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with SAP HCM, Time, Payroll modules.
  • Candidate must be solutions oriented using rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, probing all sources for answers.
  • Candidate must also have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
  • Candidate must be a self-learner with the ability to pick up new technologies and provide tangible results.
  • Cultivates a customer obsessed, positive, outcome-oriented culture of accountability and partnership.
  • 3 or more years of demonstrated technical leadership skills, including design, creation and support of critical systems.
  • 2 or more years of experience working with a cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, OpenShift)
  • Experience with APIs and Microservices preferred.
  • Experience in roles that required strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Candidate must be reliable, produce quality work, take pride and ownership in their work with high level of professionalism, passion, and a sense of urgency to make things happen.
  • Experience working with diverse teams located across various locations.
  • Functional knowledge of the airline IT processes.
  • Highly adaptable, a driver of change, and capable of quickly rallying teams / peer groups.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Experience with modernizing SAP platform components or SAP migration is preferred.
  • Experience working in an airline technology environment is preferred.
  • Experience working with AWS services.
