Requirements
- Review of project specifications, drawings and project specific documents to establish project intent.
- Assist the Application Engineer with selection of field level devices, global devices, and integration solutions that fulfill the project requirements while remaining within the overall budget.
- Assist with the selection of specified system, and owner preferred, graphical interface requirements.
- Processing of project programming specific "Request for Information" (RFI) documentation to Application Engineer and Project Manager.
- Based upon specifications, sequence of operations, and known customer requirements, utilize established standards to produce the complete system database.
- Produce field level controller programming, global programming, and third-party integration database to be turned over to the Startup Technician before the startup period so all programming can be reviewed for application and errors.
- Upon completion of Startup, Test & Balance, and Commissioning, update and backup the entire database for external storage.
- Cooperation in the establishment and enforcement of engineering and programming standards.
- Assist with the development of new standards that remain current and streamline any given process and increase operational efficiencies.
- Maintain the highest quality and customer satisfaction on all projects.
- Associate's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science is desired.
- Two (2) years' experience with the production of BAS system programming.
- Experience with Tridium, Alerton, or ABB Building automation preferred.
- Understanding of mechanical HVAC equipment required.
- Understanding of electrical and network wiring preferred.
- Understanding of current standard BAS components and programming of these components required.
- Excellent computer skills and intimate familiarity with MS-Office products (Word, Excel, Access). We would like you to have some AutoCAD, Visual Basic, Visio and Alerton/Tridium product experience preferred.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- You must have a valid driver's license from the State of Florida.
- Able to pass background check.
