Consistent with strategic objectives, operating policies and organizational goals; recommend and implement policies, procedures and initiatives effecting purchasing decisions with the intent to improve clinical outcomes, achieve cost savings and increase end-user satisfaction.

What You Will Do

Required Qualifications
- 5 Years management or supervisory experience.
- 3 Years experience with automated materiel management systems.
- ERP experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or Health Services Administration.
Other Qualification Requirements
- International or California Central Service Certification, CMRP (Certified Materiels Resource Professional) or CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) - Preferred.
Essential Functions
- Management
Assumes overall campus and off-site materiel and logistics operations, responsibility to include compliance/cost control, maintenance of consistent high levels of service, work-flow process quality, staff satisfaction and departmental resource management.
Uses quantitative measures of performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in listed and other relevant areas. - System Integration
Works with Chief Supply Chain Officer as well as entity leadership including CFO/CEO to develop and continuously update entity Materiel Management Business Plan.
Collaborates with central office as well as other entity materiel management leadership to achieve entity and system goals and objectives.
In conjunction with other hospital Materiel Managers, develops, recommends and implements organizational policies and objectives within/across the system. - Planning
Manages the strategic planning process for assigned areas in multiple facilities including ordering, purchasing, receiving, mail (site), sterile processing, distribution, carts and DME.
Coordinates Materiel Management system strategic plans across facilities. - Leadership
Manages diverse group of multi-level, multi-functional staff. Demonstrates effective team building skills.
Participates in entity specific initiatives such as Injury prevention Task Force, Safety Associates, Compliance Committee, Code Green Committee, etc.
Participates in system wide MM teams as necessary and in MM system strategic planning, project development and rollouts.
Develops relationships that demonstrate effective leadership (ability to gain commitments, develop vision, and effectively produce change).
Initiates process improvements, value analysis and other cost-savings activities; acts as change agent. - Cost Savings
Facilitates standardization across facilities, coordinating with Central Materiel Management and other Materiel Managers.
Coordinates and monitors contract services and supplier relationships relating to daily operations for the campus.
Participates in supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management in conjunction with CMM and other entity MMs.
Develops and manages budget to meet revenue, expense and productivity goals.
Achieves financial outcomes, targets and goals for all reporting units and supports system efficiency. - Information Systems
Participates in implementation and enhancement of information systems technology related to Materiel Management (i.e. ERP, HHT's, Point-of-Use Systems, Asset Tracking Systems, Supply Cost and Utilization Management Systems, etc.).
Supports information technology initiatives (i.e., Cerner).
