THEROLE IN A NUTSHELL
Job Summary

The WorkforcePlanning Manager is responsible for developing and implementing workforcestrategies to ensure optimal staffing levels, operational efficiency, andalignment with Greenshields Enterprise Strategy. This role collaborates acrossthe enterprise to deliver long-term workforce planning, governance, linking to continuousimprovement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate stronganalytical, technical, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills tosupport enterprise-wide workforce planning and operational excellence.Furthermore, this position requires key skills in problem solving, reportingand data visualization. This leadership position is responsible for leading ateam of analysts to ensure a high performance team is achieved.

Workforce Governance
  • Oversee staffing levels in relation to Annual Operating Plan (AOP), efficiency projects, new business initiatives, terminations, and other corporate considerations.
  • Align workforce planning with the organization's pricing model to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Develop and monitor staffing projections over a 1-3 year time horizon, collaborating with People and Culture (P&C) and Operations Workforce Management where applicable).
  • Collaborate with Workforce Management team who oversees the staffing plan on a yearly basis for core operations (call centre and claims).
  • Leverage technologies and implement/sustain best forecast and analysis practices to gain and influence operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and actively maintain a strategic, departmental long-term plan that includes:
    • Inbound, primary workload forecasts
    • Auxiliary workload forecasts
    • Performance measures
    • Staffing requirements, including attrition
    • Shrink assumptions
  • Communicate the plan effectively across the various levels of leadership.

Workforce Planning
  • Partner with P&C to integrate workforce planning with organizational design, talent acquisition, retention, and development strategies.
  • Provide workforce planning support to non-production functions (e.g., Enabling Functions) to ensure consistent and efficient resource management.

Enterprise Onboarding & Enrollment Planning(ENT O&E)
  • Collaborate with ENT O&E related to implementation capacity planning and scheduling, resource deployment etc.
  • Ensure implementations are planned withing ENT O&E/s available capacity and the enterprise client onboarding process surrounding new business has been followed.
  • Work with appropriate stakeholders to ensure the original pricing of the client aligns with the final costs of the implementation and taking appropriate actions with the lines of businesses if there are gaps.

Collaboration with Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement team (within same department) to ensure that the CI initiatives are reflected back into the overall staffing plans
  • Through capacity planning efforts, identify areas of opportunities to improve customer experience and business processes.

Strategy and Operational Reporting/Analytics
  • Lead the development of measures to monitor strategy implementation and execution as required across the enterprise for non-production areas (i.e enabling functions, Health and Admin Line of Business).
  • Develop a strategy to better measure and maximize benefits realization from CI effort, by tracking and reporting benefits and achievements delivered by the CI program.
  • This is all in collaboration with SMEs within the business areas.
  • Goal is to build capabilities for our respective line of businesses and act as a tool and mechanism for improved business health reporting.

  • Strong organizational skills that include elements such as prioritization, problem solving and the ability to streamline processes.
  • Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, specifically in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment who can work autonomously and in a team setting.
  • Experience with root cause analysis or similar problem-solving methodology is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in workforce planning, operations management, or a related field.
