POSITION PURPOSE:

We are looking for a highly motivated finance leader to join the Heart Recovery finance team, supporting the V-Wave US commercial business. This position will support all aspects of the US commercial business including: revenue recognition, net trade sales reporting, and US sales organization support including variable comp plans, marketing, reimbursement, health economics & market access, and external/IR reporting. Additionally, this position will oversee the financial related items with 3rd party suppliers.

In close partnership with leadership, this role will guide investments, planning, and analytics that support the financial health of the US commercial organization. This individual will also play a critical role in the long-range financial plan and mid-term plan processes across V-Wave. He/She will have exposure to senior leaders across the organization, supporting them in delivering their financial commitments. This role will report to the Senior Finance Director, V-Wave Global Franchise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for oversight, coordination & consolidation of US revenue budgets, forecasts, and actual results.
  • Develop revenue metrics and trend analyses for the US commercial organization to facilitate better understanding of the business
  • Lead daily/weekly/monthly sales deliverables (sales flash, BRAVO submissions, commentary requests).
  • Lead and develop expense budgeting & forecasting for US commercial organization including stand-up and evolution of commissions, per diems, T&E, etc. Partner with senior leadership to craft launch strategies and prioritize investments.
  • Serve as a key contributor in support of customer contracting and CPC governance process
  • Leadership in demand forecasting and S&OP process
  • Lead all revenue recognition and testing, partnering closely with internal and external audit and key internal stakeholders (customer service, commercial operations, etc.)
  • Lead quarterly Investor Relations process, consolidating all revenue, patient, and innovation metrics to be shared externally.
  • Support long-range financial plan and mid-term plan processes, partnering across organization to ensure value creation is maximized through appropriate resource allocation and trade-off decisions.
  • Leadership of Post Acquisition process; framing results vs deal model
  • Prepare and present financial presentations for senior leaders, using executive-level framing to shape key messages.
  • Provide support to continued integration activities, including the global adoption and implementation of world-wide accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure SOX controls and GAAP compliance standards are fully met for all processes
  • Direct supervision and development of staff
  • Leverage partnership across Abiomed finance team, focused on process leverage and financial compliance.


Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor degree is required, preferably with a major in Finance or Accounting. An MBA, CPA, CMA, and/or other financial certifications are preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of finance and accounting experience is required.
  • Candidate must possess excellent analytical (MS Excel), conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and application of technical accounting and compliance is required.
  • The ability to think strategically and creatively and work in a team environment is required.
  • Strong communication with superior presentation/framing skills with ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships & influence at all levels, operate with a high degree of independence, have the proven ability to lead, plan, &, prioritize effectively.
  • Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to develop and implement new processes, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Well-organized in task and business results/framing with an eye toward the future.
  • The ability to effectively take on leadership roles and partner with associates at all levels of an organization in various functions.
  • The preferred location for this role is Danvers, MA. However, flexibility on location is a possibility for the right candidate. There may be up to 10% travel required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$120,000 - $207,000

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
