Job Title: Licensed Physical Therapist

License: Must have a New Mexico PT License
Certifications: BLS Certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)
Must-Have: Inpatient and Outpatient Experience, at least one year of Pediatric PT experience
Description:
Evaluates patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for the rehabilitation of physical and developmental disorders.
Requires detailed knowledge of physical therapy in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done.
This level includes interpretation of data.
Basic computer skills required.
Basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific setting.
Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan of patients served.
Oversees and ensures a comprehensive rehabilitation program.
Promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization.
Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established during the evaluation and care.
Acts as a patient advocate.
Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based care, and home health care.
Evaluates and treats infants, children, and adolescents for various health conditions.
Addresses motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, and gait.
Interviews children and family members, using physical examinations to diagnose movement disorders.
Ability to evaluate and treat patients 18 years old and older.
Floats to adult units if needed.
Skills: Must have inpatient and outpatient experience.
Must be a team player.
Flexible and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
At least one previous 13-week travel assignment.
Preferred: EPIC experience; training available on-site.
Education: Required Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
Preferred Education: Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Settings include inpatient and pediatric emergency departments.
Evaluates and treats pediatric patients from birth to 18 years old regarding the application of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
