Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $130,000.00-$194,900.00.

Work Schedule:

A Day in the Life:
- Manage contract operations; provide direction and leadership to contract staff.
- Ensure operational objectives are met and monthly and annual reports meet corporate and government requirements
- Serve as the primary technical contact for the contract, maintaining customer happiness and developing and meeting budgetary goals, both operating and capital budgets.
- Supervise and approve expenses, ensuring accurate expense reporting.
- Develop organization and management of all personnel issues, including performance management and employee development.
- Responsible for maintaining facility and managing after-hours on-call activities
- Review and approve all Controlled Documents supporting contract operations.
- Develop and refine procedures and build detailed SOPs/SWIs.
- Align project Quality Plan with BioServices Quality System.
- Ensure regulatory compliance in all activities and stay current with applicable regulations.
- Regularly meets with the Government Project Officer on contract operations.
- Develop and present site-specific occupational safety and health training.
Education
- Bachelor of Science degree required. Preferably in Pharmacy. Advanced degree in Pharmacy highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of laboratory or repository experience required.
- 5-7 years of management/supervisory experience required.
- 2-3 years of Project Management and supervisory experience required.
- Experience in coordinating Government contracts, including budget management required.
Certificates and/or Licenses
- IATA Dangerous Goods Training preferred.
- RCRA training highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze scientific literature/data, safe handling of biohazardous materials, and familiarity with OSHA requirements.
- Understanding of chemistry/repository operations and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Preferred experience with database record maintenance.
Work Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Work in a cold environment, exposure to dry ice, hazardous, and infectious agents.
- Use personal protective equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Use a computer for up to 6 hours per day.
- Work in a laboratory and warehouse/repository environment.
- Exposure to laboratory and chemical storage areas with possible strong odor.
