Job Description
The Software Development Engineer in Testing (SDET) will serve as a User Acceptance Tester (UAT), ensuring that sports and race retail and mobile betting platforms meet quality standards before launch. As part of the final phase of system release, the UAT will validate that the software performs as expected in real-world betting scenarios and aligns with business, regulatory, and technical requirements.
This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to clarify requirements, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and ensure that identified defects are triaged and resolved efficiently.

Job Description
The Software Development Engineer in Testing (SDET) will serve as a User Acceptance Tester (UAT), ensuring that sports and race retail and mobile betting platforms meet quality standards before launch. As part of the final phase of system release, the UAT will validate that the software performs as expected in real-world betting scenarios and aligns with business, regulatory, and technical requirements.
This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to clarify requirements, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and ensure that identified defects are triaged and resolved efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed test cases and participate in application testing for the sports and race retail and mobile betting platform.
- Support UAT processes by creating test cases, test plans, and tools for capturing test results.
- Conduct manual application testing, execute test cases, and document test results.
- Perform end-to-end system testing to verify proper system functionality, ensuring compliance with betting regulations and real-time transaction accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and resolve issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of sports betting and the sports betting industry, particularly in sports and race retail and mobile betting platforms.
- Experience and understanding of application testing methodologies, tools, and execution.
- Highly detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to engage professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Ability to demonstrate technical expertise and apply industry knowledge effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven ability to take initiative, identify solutions, and drive process improvements.
- Capable of following, critically evaluating, and enhancing existing processes.
- A strong team player with the ability to adapt to agile, fast-paced environments.
- May be required to obtain a Nevada Gaming Card and additional jurisdictional licenses as necessary.
