Job Description

AECOM Mississauga is hiring a Senior Commercial Manager (Payments)

Responsibilities:
  • Team management: Lead a team of 3 to 5 resources and provide direction and mentorship as required.
  • Payment Processing: Overseeing the validation and processing of payments to contractors according to contractual milestones and project timelines.
    • Develop and implement payment policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
    • Handle escalated payment issues and resolve them promptly.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on payment operations to senior management.
  • Documentation Management: Handling extensive documentation related to payments as well as supporting documentation in an organized manner.
  • Coordination with Stakeholders: Working closely with project managers, accounting personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth financial and payment operations.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), or payment related certifications are desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in payment processing, finance, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of payment systems, regulations,
  • Proficiency in payment processing software and financial analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
