Job Title: CT Technologist

Hours per Shift: 12 hours on weekends as assigned
Experience: Experience preferred
License: Licensed in the state by the Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board
Certifications: ARRT certified in CT, Current CPR certification
Must-Have: Proficiency with Siemens equipment, Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
Description:
Performs diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scan images.
Produces quality computed tomography exam images and exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures.
Provides patient care and initiates life support measures as necessary.
Interacts effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and healthcare workers.
Possesses the skills and knowledge to operate CT equipment to produce quality CT scans.
Ability to perform related procedures and protocols.
Adaptable to learn and utilize new technology.
Capable of professionally obtaining information from patients or their responsible parties to improve personalized treatment and care.
Works to develop an understanding of the patient's physical and emotional status.
Effective with all age groups.
Job responsibilities may include on-call rotation, nights, weekends, and holidays based on facility needs.
Perform CT-related tasks and maintain awareness of general CT protocols.
Assigned weekend shifts with call responsibilities.
Utilizes CT equipment such as Toshiba Aquilion One, Siemens Definition Edge, Vital Fx Workstation, Tera Recon, SyngoVia.
Familiar with EMR: EPIC/Radiant.
Uses PACS: McKesson.
Knowledge of Cross Sectional Anatomy and Physiology, 3D Post Processing for Ortho, Vascular, Cardiac, and Neuro.
Experience with various post-processing techniques is preferred.
Shift or schedule requirements are determined at the time of request.
Weekend call as needed.
Monday-Friday with varying day and evening shifts as assigned.
Floating to other units/departments is not required.
The facility is a 200-bed Level II Trauma and Stroke Center.
The orientation program is a 2-week process.
Candidates must reside more than 80 miles away from the facility.
