In this position...

As the Operations Project Manager, you will be the central point of contact, facilitating seamless communication and coordination between project engineering, program management, the fabrication team, and the electrical engineering (EE) technician team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all operational aspects of projects are executed efficiently, from initial design to final assembly and testing. This includes managing inventory, coordinating component kitting, and overseeing supplier relationships to maintain a consistent supply of materials and components. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and have a proven track record of successfully managing operational tasks within a technical or manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
Act as the primary liaison between the engineering team, internal build teams, and external vendors, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery of components.
Communicate any changes, roadblocks, or delays to the team and external
stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned and aware of updates.
Proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact build timelines or component availability.
Set up and maintain an effective inventory management system, ensuring
accurate tracking and efficient use of materials.
Organize and kit components for large-scale builds, ensuring all necessary parts are prepped and ready for production.
Work closely with vendors, ensure timely deliveries, and manage supplier relationships.

Qualifications

You'll have...
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively between teams and vendors.
Experience in component kitting and organizing parts for large-scale projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex prototype projects on time and within budget.

Even better, you may have...
3-5+ years project management experience in similar field.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent field experience preferred.
An understanding of production, prototyping, and fabrication process and the ability to understand impacts to time, cost, and quality tradeoffs.
PMP Certification a plus

This position is a salary grade 3.
