Job Description Summary
This entry level position will make immediate contributions to the team responsible for Nuclear Analysis areas, while being technically mentored by a team of high performing engineers. The individual will work within an energetic team environment to perform analyses to support a variety of applications including BWR reload analysis, power uprate and new power plant analyses.

Essential Responsibilities

  • The position offers limitless opportunity to learn the fundamental bases of nuclear power plant operations and safety analysis by applying state-of-the-art thermal hydraulics methods to satisfy licensing requirements and solve real day to day plant problems.
  • Additionally, this position has direct customer-facing opportunities through training, deliverables, and collaboration.
  • The team offers unique opportunities to create and/or improve cutting-edge automation and methods.
  • The individual will lead a variety of projects including technical evaluations and analyses in the area of plant transients, thermal hydraulics, stability, radiological, LOCA, reload analysis, and more.
  • This individual will deliver products at a consistently high and sustainable level in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Work effectively and make positive contributions in a dynamic team environment.
  • Quickly learn and apply analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to solve problems.
  • Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations.
  • Provide engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the desired area.
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers.
  • Implement continual improvement of work processes.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar).


Eligibility Requirements
  • Relocation to Wilmington, NC is required.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.


Desired Qualifications
  • Experience or interest in Nuclear Engineering disciplines, including Nuclear Methods, LOCA & Containment, Stability & Radiological, Fuel Performance & Design, Transient Analysis, and Fuel Bundle/Core Design.


The base pay range for this position is $70K - $101K. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 4/24/25.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
